Pickle
Pickling is one of the oldest methods of preserving food. Before the invention of the modern refrigerator, pickling was the only way to store different foods for future consumption. The health benefits of pickles include providing probiotics, managing diabetes, improving digestion, protecting the liver and the ability to heal wounds. These are probably due to the good supply of essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Pickles help reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety, treat caries and gingivitis, manage diabetes, prevent or treat allergies, reduce urinary tract infections and reduce the risk of some cancers.
